Ijegun police, Asejeri in war of words after withdrawal of patrol bus

The Authority of the Nigeria Police Force, (NPF), Ijegun division, suffered a major blow after operational vehicle used in fighting crime and other social vices within Ijegun community were withdrawn at short notice by financiers, Asejere Cooperative Society (ACS), Ijegun, reports

Thesparrowonline.blogspot.com

According to inside sources, the police were caught unaware after the bus attached to the patrol team was withdrawn over breach of contract by ACS over non repayment of laon to ACS.

It claimed that Asejere Cooperatives Society withdrew the vehicle from the security operatives due to their inability to pay back the loan.

It would be recalled that Asejere Cooperative  Society, as the name implies is an association of landlords and residents of Ijegun community, helping in providing financial assistances like loans to the poor and needy within the community.

And as part of its Social Responsibility programme, decided to boost the morale of security agencies by financing patrol vehicles donated to Lagos State Police Tactical Unit last year.

The aim was to tackle the menace of kidnapping, armed robbery and cultism within the community.

Efforts by Thesparrowonline.blogspot.com to get official reaction from Ijegun police proved abortive as at press time.
