Develop habit of self-help projects Ojo to Lagosians
The newly elected Community Development Committee (CDC) chairman of Igando-Ikotun LCDA, Pastor Ojo Samuel Olasupo has advised all CDAs to cultivate culture of self-help community project.
This he said will foster quick development within the community.
Speaking yesterday September 29, at the Inauguration of the Community Development Committee new executive council held at the Igando-Ikotun secretariat.
Samuel Ojo stated that leadership training will be organized for CDAs/CDC members to educate them on their responsibilities as community representatives.
He stated that his administration will recognize outstanding CDAs by the state and local level.
He explained that the CDAs and CDC is the 4th Tier of government serving as advisory body to the government at the grassroots.
"This we shall do by repositioning the CDAs/CDC in terms of cooperation, collaboration and synergy with both the Local and State Governments.
" We shall also put in our best to support and close the gap between our representatives in government, be it at the Federal, State or Local Government level to bring about meaningful development to our community.
"We shall ensure collaboration with the Police Community Relation Committee (PCRC) and Lagos Neighborhood Safety Corps (LNSC) to improve and strengthen community policing. Concerted internalization of the intelligence gathering for security agencies will be undertaking by this CDC Administration to curb crimes in our communities." Samuel Ojo said.
